Every morning, our scanner pulls real-time odds from FanDuel and DraftKings across NBA, NCAAB, MLB, NFL, NHL, and more — spreads, totals, and moneylines across all leagues. We compare lines between books, flagging discrepancies that signal market inefficiencies — the raw material for edge detection.
Player props are scanned separately with a tighter discrepancy threshold, ensuring only meaningful mispricings make it to analysis. Prop cards display the player name, game matchup, and tip-off time for quick context.
Candidates pass through a sport-specific Stage 2 analysis powered by Claude AI. Each sport gets its own specialized prompt and evaluation criteria:

Line movement is monitored throughout the day. If a line moves past our edge threshold, picks are automatically voided before you can place a bad bet. Graded picks stay on the Today tab with FINAL score badges and colored W/L borders so you can review results without leaving the card.

Every pick is assigned a star rating from 1 to 3 based on the calculated edge percentage — not AI opinion. Higher edge means more stars and larger unit sizing. The StrataScore algorithm combines adjusted edge (60%) and win probability (40%) to rank picks for the daily card.
Picks are ranked by StrataScore (edge × 0.6 + win probability × 0.4). Top picks make the daily card. Remaining qualifying picks appear as Leans — shown with full game details greyed out, informational only, excluded from performance tracking.
The Look Ahead sub-tab (under the VIP tab on your dashboard) scans games 2-7 days out, identifying early-value opportunities before sharp money moves the lines. These are spreads and totals where the current number is likely to shift — giving you a window to lock in better prices.
The Futures sub-tab (under the VIP tab) evaluates championship, conference, and season prop markets across all major sports — targeting longshot value where the implied probability significantly underestimates the actual chance.
Markets move after the card is published. StrataWager monitors your picks throughout the day and notifies you when something changes — so you never bet on stale edges.
When a pick's edge drops 3% or more after the card was sent, you receive an email showing the old edge, new edge, and direction. Helps you decide whether to still place the bet or skip it. Limited to 1 per pick per 2 hours, only when the game starts within 4 hours.
If a pick's edge drops below the minimum floor entirely after you've received it, you get a "DO NOT PLACE" alert. This protects you from betting on a pick that no longer has edge — before you can place a bad bet.
Not every book offers the same odds. The Check My Line tool lets you enter your book's actual line and instantly see whether the edge still holds at your price — with a pass/no-pass verdict before you bet.
Edge calculations are re-run every hour from 8 AM to 7 PM ET. Picks that fall below the edge threshold are automatically voided. Picks that improve are reflected on your dashboard in real time.
Set your unit size in dollars and see dollar P&L alongside units everywhere — performance dashboard, pick history, and daily email. Track your actual profit in real currency, not just abstract units.
Tap "I Tailed This" on any pick to track which ones you actually bet. Game picks and props include Line and Odds inputs so you can record the exact price you got; parlays include an odds input for your book's actual payout. Graded picks in Pick History also support tailing — mark picks retroactively even after games are over. See your personal record, win rate, and net units separate from the platform record.
The History tab has three sub-tabs: Graded Picks (won/lost/push results with final scores and full stats), Leans (qualifying picks below the daily card cutoff, informational only), and My Bets (your personal tailed picks with your recorded lines, odds, and P&L). Use filter chips to slice by league, result (W/L/Push), or star rating. Sharp+ tiers see edge % on each graded pick card.
Closing Line Value measures whether you consistently get better prices than where the market closes — the gold standard of sports betting skill measurement. See aggregate CLV%, league breakdowns, and confidence-level analysis.
See how well each confidence level (Very High, High, Medium, Low) correlates with actual outcomes. Win rates, records, and net units per level — so you know exactly how to weight each rating.
Performance broken down by sport season (NBA 2025-26, NCAAB 2025-26, etc.) with W-L record, win rate, and net units. Active seasons sort to the top; off-season leagues dim to the bottom. Available on both the public performance page and subscriber dashboard.
Current winning or losing streak plus last-10 form, shown overall and per league. Displayed in the dashboard header and daily email. Hot streaks (7+ in last 10) get a fire badge; cold streaks get flagged too.
