Privacy Policy

Strata Platforms ("we," "us," or "our") operates the StrataWager platform at www.stratawager.bet. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our service.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information. When you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address
  • Username
  • Password (stored as a bcrypt hash — we never store plaintext passwords)

Payment Information. Payments are processed entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers, CVVs, or full card details on our servers. Stripe provides us with a customer ID and subscription status to manage your account tier.

Usage Data. We collect:

  • Login timestamps and IP addresses (for security and fraud prevention)
  • Pages visited and interaction data via Google Analytics (anonymized)
  • Browser type, device type, and operating system (via Google Analytics)

Communication Data. We use SendGrid to deliver transactional emails (pick notifications, account confirmations, password resets). SendGrid processes your email address to deliver these messages on our behalf.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the StrataWager service
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe
  • Send transactional emails (daily picks, account notifications, password resets) via SendGrid
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve the platform (via Google Analytics)
  • Respond to support requests

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share data only with the following service providers, strictly for the purposes described:

  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription management
  • SendGrid — transactional and marketing email delivery
  • Google Analytics — anonymized website usage analytics

We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental request.

4. Data Retention

  • Account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
  • Upon account deletion request, we remove your personal data within 30 days.
  • Login audit logs are retained for 90 days for security purposes, then purged.
  • Google Analytics data is retained per Google's default retention settings.
  • Stripe retains payment records as required for financial compliance.

5. Cookies

We use a minimal set of cookies:

  • Session cookie — used for authentication. This is an HttpOnly, Secure cookie with SameSite=Lax. It does not track you across other websites.
  • Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _gid) — used for anonymized usage analytics. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Delete your account and personal data

For EU/EEA residents (GDPR): You have additional rights including the right to erasure, data portability, restriction of processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

For California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell your personal information.

7. Security

We take the security of your data seriously and employ the following measures:

  • Passwords are hashed using bcrypt (never stored in plaintext)
  • All connections are encrypted via TLS (HTTPS enforced site-wide)
  • Two-factor authentication (TOTP-based 2FA) is available for all accounts
  • Rate limiting is enforced on authentication endpoints
  • Automated intrusion detection via fail2ban
  • Login audit logging for anomaly detection

No system is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

StrataWager is a sports betting analytics service intended for persons aged 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 21. If we learn that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us at admin@stratawager.bet.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of StrataWager after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
